Continue to practice | Sis. Bala Samson | Suresh, PCR

Continue to practice….

Romans 1:18 ’For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness..’

The above scripture is an eye-opener!  I want to emphasize two points from the above scripture: a) the wrath of God would come against anyone/everyone who indulges in ungodliness and unrighteousness b) those who know the truth and suppress it would be punished too. When you continue to live and practice sin, (habitually) you are open to the wrath of God!

When I corrected a Christian woman living with a married man and explained that she was into adultery, she responded with the sort of nonchalance common to those who have interests to protect, she said, ‘what do I do sister, I have none to take care of me so I am living with this man.’  Though I explained to her that Jesus is her only security, she stopped attending our services, but she continues to participate in the holy communion and attend another church, though. I wept for her.

How do people react to the ‘thunder and lightening’ messages that goes out from my desk everyday? Not many want to change because that involves loss, pain and fear of future, they prefer to live in sin rather than change their ways. Warnings of the imminent danger and destruction that would follow disobedience is not taken seriously.  People argue with me and justify their deeds, it is time to introspect and reform!   Not many unsubscribe and leave me, though – which is good – but what good would it be to hear through one ear and send it out through the other?  I am speaking to someone out there!  Do you hear me please?
I have talked to several computer software Engineers on the unethical usage of pirated soft wares and the universal reply I get is: ’everybody is doing it’.  Don’t fall for that line ever! However, I have not stopped explaining the callousness of such practices.  There was a time in our ministry when we closed our computers and covered it because we had no money to buy the soft wares, one by one we bought them and started our work.  Proverbs 28:6 ‘Better is the poor who walks in his integrity than one perverse in his ways, though he be rich.’ In another place, the Bible calls such people who disobey as ‘fools’: Proverbs 19:1 ‘Better is the poor who walks in his integrity Than one who is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.’
