Courageous
Not deterred by danger or pain; brave.
God wants His children to be filled with Courage. Most of
the times we turn out to be courageous in things which we are more passionate
about. We contribute our complete strength to show our love and passion for a
person or work. We wouldn’t mind going to the extreme of laying down our lives
to prove our love for our loved ones. Well, God also expects the same. He gave
himself on the cross and showed His love for us.
A man who is filled with Fears is already Dead. You tend to live
your life completely for the person whom you love or for the thing you are
passionate about without Fear. Please God with Love, for that is what He
expects. If it is only fears chasing us to live this current life, then we are
living a dead life. God wants us to be Courageous in facing this life. Fear by
itself is called as a “Dead Fear” and an “Empty Fear” just because there is no
truth in it.
Joshua was called to be courageous..
Esther had the courage to risk her life for her people..
Daniel prayed continuously and faced the Lion’s den with
courage..
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego showed their courage in order
to see the Son of Man joining them in the blazing furnace..
Elijah’s courageous prayer to stop the rain, which could
stumble the whole economy...
Joseph’s courageous interpretation of Pharaoh’s Dream to say
7 years you will face famine..
Stephen’s courage to stand for the Truth, even when he was
dragged and stoned to death..
They all spoke to the kings representing the Heavenly King
and His love.. seeding their lives at risk, courageously in order to be raised
again in Glory. Likewise, if God is our real love then let us also courageously
wrestle against “..principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this
world..” (Ephesians 6:12) and take the Love of God to our friends and
colleagues at workplace with prayer for ‘Vision 100’.
“Be strong and courageous”
Joshua 1:9
