Give me a Man | To be a Prey or Pray | Vision 100 | Day 7

“..This day I defy the armies of Israel! Give me a man and let us fight each other.” I Samuel 17:10

All this while we have heard God’s plea to his people to stand in the Gap and pray for the Nation. But the verse above is a call and a challenge from Goliath to fight it out.

The Goliath inside us is growing stronger and stronger each day. We continuously try to feed him with our senses such as See, Smell, Hear, Taste and Touch. He has grown so huge in us that it is hard to deny his existence. Though this Goliath has put us to shame, we continue to partner with him.

When God saved us, He literally killed this Goliath inside us. The self-centeredness was brought down. Christ centred life came into us and we were freed from every bondages. But after few years of journey, without our knowledge once again we have tried to give rebirth to the Goliath inside us and have fed him with the required strength. Yes, we were saved to save others and not to continue in our self-centered life. Hence, let us ensure that the thought of the brethren is not lost in us.

This day we have a reason to come together in prayer for Vision 100.  Let us join hands in prayer and say ‘..I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel.’ (I Samuel 17:45) and show the care which we have for our Friends and Colleagues at workplace through our prayer. Amen
