This is an amazing passage which everyone of us have come across, where all the disciple were shouting with fear of getting drowned in the sea. While the bible states that Jesus was still sleeping on a cushion. Even today we might wonder why God is letting me go through this painful situation and is He not watching over me. But remember the one who has called us, is all powerful and faithful to lead us to the end.
"Let us go over to the other side." Mark 4:35
1. God has already planned us the way to reach the other side of the shore
2. Situations might fail, but God has already promised and He will make sure that it happens
"the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped" Mark 4:37
Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?" Mark 4:38
He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. Mark 4:39
1. God is working for us
2. He has already seen us victoriously getting over to the other side
3. Hence, cast away all our worries and rejoice in the Lord
The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it. I Thess 5:24
Whatever might be the problems we have in our workplace and family, remember that God has already dealt with it for us. He has already seen us getting through this problem from the other end. Amen
